13th meeting, the 2nd AGM

The 13th meeting, the 2^nd AGM, was held on Wednesday, 20 July.

July’s meeting was the AGM, and the following were elected to serve on the committee for the coming 12 months:

This will be an important time for committee members as the Friends liaise with the City Council and Folk Festival organisers in delivering major aspects of the master plan in time for next summer.

Our guest speaker was John Collins from the Friends of Cherry Hinton Brook (www.friendsofcherryhintonbrook.org.uk). John gave an excellent insight into how the Friends of Cherry Hinton Brook was set up, funded, current activities and future goals. It was agreed that our two groups should seek to work together where there is obvious common purpose.

After listening to John there were plenty of housekeeping items to get through including details of the photo competition and plans for the Folk Festival. The meeting finished with a marvellous cake made by Sandra to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. To see a full copy of the Minutes, click HERE.
