The first meeting – 2009/07/29

The first meeting on 29th July was a massive success. We were hugely suprised by the turnout. Over 55 people turned up plus others could not fit in the room – sorry for squash! Others gave appologies as they could not attend. We really did not anticipate that many people turning up to the first meeting. We have a more appropriate venue for the next meeting.

We elected a provisional committee and highlighted quite a few points for action, plus made some useful contacts and had some wide rangin discussions.

It was good to see such wide ranging reasons for people wanting to be involved. Some of the concerns were: wildlife, paths, trees, children’s play, history and archaeology, the brook, other recreational use, to general use, enjoyment and maintenance.
