The first Community Action Day took place o Saturday 26th March and was attended by about 30 people, who spend the morning planting up the pond plants, wild flower meadow and clearing the brook and weir. Vicky Hatherill from CHYPPS and her team provided a selection of garden tools, gloves and refreshments! The local paper took a few photos so watch the press this week.
Thank you to everyone who came along and worked so hard, we really did make a difference! The next Community Action Day will be in the autumn when I hope we can have a bulb planting day if I can get some donations! Let me know if you have any contacts.
